Business 2 months, 1 week agoAbout subcontracting work discussed on the chat :
* the studio I’m in contact with is creating a card game. I don’t have the details yet, basically all i know is that it’s solo and the theme is music. They have an internal team to develop it. They are not very familiar with html5 dev, and want to know how we could help their team, based on…[Read more]

Hmm, I’m pretty uncomfortable with having no marketing push at all – would be good to be able to bring a good crowd on the game when we get the recipe right.
So we need to discuss it yep – from the look of it I’m not sure we can afford MCMic’s internship if Adolfo comes back, as it prevents us from keeping hiring Adolfo past February, and also…[Read more]

Business 5 months, 3 weeks agoI didn’t look deeply enough to know if this could be a way for us to sell CS, but I just came across it so I thought I would post those there. It’s a series of indie game shops that I hadn’t visited before:
* http://beta.indievania.com/
* http://www.desura.com/
* http://www.gameolith.com/Buy the game there and get a big deck of cards upfront?

Business 5 months, 3 weeks agoAn analysis of the last five weeks of logs from cardstories showed the area where improvement would be most needed. The first is to improve the recurring users ratio (currently 1/100), the second is to ensure that new players always get an opportunity to play and the third is to reduce the number of games that are not completed after being…[Read more]

Business 7 months agoFor Kickstarter, I’m told that the individual in the US will not have to pay taxes given that the donation he receives from the community is transferred it to Farsides. For this he’ll need a contract (to provide to his administration) – the same we’ll need on our side for the french administration, and bank proof of transfer.
Maybe you could…[Read more]-
@tartarugafeliz you had a chance to chat about this with your brother?
Btw @blanchard, how sure are we that he won’t need to pay taxes? To reassure him, what would happen if he ended up having the treasury asking him for taxes? We could set aside some money… Not sure what’s best.

I didn’t talk to him yet, I’ll send an email tomorrow, I was waiting to see if he was going to show up on skype so I could really talk to him, but if we don’t meet until tomorrow I’ll solve this other way

Incubators/advices – a few places I think we should consider applying (with either Card Stories or Plebia, both seem to apply well in most places):

Cool !
If you want I can take care of WebFWD & HackFWD, which are heavily insipred by YC.

great, please do, I appreciate

Let me know if you need help with the financials or whatever part related to the BP.-
Ok!
Not sure when I’ll have time, but maybe after YC if unsuccessful. WebFWD especially could be more aligned with our philosophy.

In my humble opinion, option 2) is great and 3) is ideal, but 1) would be fine as long as no licensing issues are incurred.
Also, option 1) might be considered a ”foot in the door” for greater involvement in the future, hopefully for mutual benefit!
